Cleveland, OH - The city of Cleveland is planning a big farewell for native son Gerald Levert. The 40-year-old R&B crooner died suddenly Friday from a heart attack at his Newbury home. Now, those who loved Levert and his music will have a chance to bid him goodbye during his memorial service. It will be held Friday, November 17th at the Music Hall on East 6th & St. Clair at noon.



All fans are asked to wear purple on Friday, since that was Gerald's favorite color. In lieu of flowers, the Levert Family is asking that donations be made to the R&B Foundation.
